• Practical experience in preparing and presenting espresso-based beverages, tea and speciality teas
• Practical experience in preparing and presenting fruit based smoothies
• Knowledge of espresso equipment and techniques, and recipes for preparing espresso beverages
• Experience and practical knowledge of how to prepare and present filtered and pressed coffee
• An understanding of the origins of coffee
• Knowledge of different coffee varieties
• How coffee is produced and processed
• Terminology used in the coffee industry

City & Guilds International Award in Barista Skills
One week (20 hours)
Full Time normally $750 but take advantage of our promotional price of $400

What do I need to be accepted on this programme?

Students must:

• Be 16 years of age or older
• Meet the required level of English (IELTS 5.0/TOEFL 475) OR
• Achieve the required level in the English language placement test administered at Fern English
• Hold a valid visa and insurance

Barista course will be run once every month on the following dates:
