Programme Structure

Structured to help you to gain real results at any level, you will improve your English fluency while developing your knowledge and skills in grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The Intensive General English programme has five key sections:

1. Grammar / Vocabulary
Improve the range and accuracy of grammatical structures and vocabulary

2. Listening
Improve general and specific comprehension

3. Speaking
Work on all aspects of fluency, pronunciation and appropriate usage

4. Reading
Increase speed, accuracy and comprehension

5. Writing
Focus on structure and organisation, correct register, summarising and paraphrasing

Programme Duration

• Classes start every Monday
• Study one week or more

Part Time
10 hours per week + optional 4 hrs per week conversation class or self-study class

Full Time
20 hrs per week + optional 4 hrs per week conversation class or self-study class

Entry Requirements

Students must:

• Be 16 years of age or older, AND
• Hold minimum of IELTS 3.5 or equivalent, OR
• Achieve the required level on the Fern English Language grading exercise
