Students can practice every-day conversation skills with class mates or choose to join a self-study class, both of which are supervised and led by a tutor.

-Pathway to NZMA certificate and diploma courses
For those whose level of English is not yet high enough to gain entry into NZMA’s hospitality or business courses, Fern provides an excellent stepping stone.

Fern has established study pathways so students can guarantee their educational progress to high school and/or tertiary institutions.

- Comfortable and fun environment with modern facilities
The Study Centre is a great space for students to study; the library provides a quiet reading area with many learning resources and the computer room offers the latest technology, along with free internet access. Fern students can also use the pool table and TV in the student lounge. The on-site café is run by NZMA’s hospitality diploma students, and offers a selection of hot and cold drinks, meals and snacks at low prices. There are also vending machines and microwaves for students who want to bring their lunch.
